Analytical studies on constrained particle settling velocity in a water suspension of fly ash from thermal power plants

Purpose. To establish analytical dependences for calculating the characteristics of ash suspension and velocity constrained settling coal quartz depending on particle size density medium, which is necessary design determining operating modes hydraulic devices extracting from water mineral fly thermal power plants. Methodology. The research was carried out basis a cellular model classical concepts motion in laminar turbulent flow. For evaluation suspension, defining correlations Wend formula viscosity were used. Ergun equation correlation analysis methods used to calculate analyze speed movement particles. Findings. Approximating nonlinear functions are obtained up 4 mm an with 1.31.8 g/cm3.
